Patrick’s Comment:
San Antonio has not raised the property tax rate in 33 years. Now the city faces a $264 million deficit and is asking families to cover the gap. After 28 years guiding families through their finances, I know what one more line item means. Bexar County is $3.7B in debt and will face the same choices. The system is broken. We need to fix it.
Patrick Von Dohlen believes Bexar County needs leadership that understands budgets, respects taxpayers, and plans before problems become crises. County government should be transparent, disciplined, and accountable to the families who pay for it.
